How to Be Colourful

Be Colourful

So you need a bit of colour into your life? Doesn’t everybody? Being colourful is quite easy for the average teenager that has almost no worries in their life, but if you have been dressing in dark clothes for most of your days, maybe you should be starting into this slowly. Here’s a guide on how to have just enough flash and color in your wardrobe.

Topic To Be Colourful:

  • Be Colourful

To Be Colourful Difficulty:

  • Moderately Easy

To Be Colourful You’ll Need:

  • None

To Be Colourful Instructions:

  • Change your personality.
I don’t mean completely change yourself so you act as if you never were who you are or were. Just start smiling a lot and laugh. Talk to people and try to avoid arguments, bad language or people that make you upset. Hang around with a lot of friends and be the cheery one in your group. Don’t overdo it though! Some one CAN be too cheerful and you can get on peoples nerves and you might start losing friends faster than you’re getting them. If you’re personality is already quite quirky and happy, you don’t need to worry about this step.
  • Get some colourful clothes. Op shops are probably the best for this step. They’re cheap, simple and you’ll find almost everything you need in there. You can go looking in other shops or look through your wardrobe.
  • Decide how colourful you want to be. You might not be that into colours and you just want to add a tad of colour into your fashion style. You might want to go all out in your colours and absolutely explode with colours. You might want to be a bit in between. Anything is fine. Here’s a few ideas:
  • Just a little bit of colour added: Maybe just find colourful scarfs, bangles, necklaces, hats and shoes. Bags, glasses, belts, make-up and nail polish (most likely for girls).
  • In the middle: A colourful T-shirt, hats and shoes are still an open option. Tone it down with some jeans or wear a black or grey long-sleeved shirt underneath your shirt.
  • Going all out: Is exactly what it comes down to. Colourful shirts, pants, belts, shoes, hats, gloves, glasses, make-up, long socks or jackets. Go crazy!!
  • Jazz up your style a little bit. Maybe cut tear marks into your T-shirt and wear it over another shirt. Get yourself a pair of Converses (All Stars/Chuck Taylor shoes)which are ALWAYS a good fashion statement. Knit yourself a bright scarf. Dye your jeans. Wear bright nail polish or eye make-up. Add badges and jewelry to your outfits. Anything you can think of editing slightly, try it out! Have fun with it!
  • Be confident! If you’re shying away wearing all those bright colours and bazaar accessories, it won’t look quite right. Try adding a spring into your step, wipe a smile across your face and laugh out loud.
  • Get out there and have fun with your new style!
To Be Colourful Tips:
  • Swiping on a coat of white polish before you paint your nails will make the color appear brighter.
  • Having your hair different can help. Get a hair-cut, short and choppy, long with curls, dye it, try something new.
  • If you’re looking for a bit of a visual reference, a lot of the Japanese fashions are a great example for the colours. (try searching; Decora, Visual Kei, Kogan…go for a bit of a look around)
To Be Colourful Warnings:
  • Go slowly with the colour change, especially if it’s an entirely new look for you. Try adding accessories (eg. hats, socks, undershirts, bags and jewlery) and then move up to the fuller stuff.
  • Don’t be too cheery. It can get annoying sometimes.

Ever wanted to be the perfect girl inside and out? It may be impossible, but with this article you can be close to flawless!

  • Be Close to Flawless

To Be Close to Flawless Difficulty:

  • Moderately Easy

To Be Close to Flawless You’ll Need:

To Be Close to Flawless Instructions:

  • Hair – wash it every 2-3 days, but don’t use conditioner every time. Washing less frequently or using conditioner every day will lead to greasy hair. Comb it daily unless you have naturally curly hair, then do NOT comb it because it will make it frizzy.
  • Eyebrows – comb and/or tweeze them regularly to keep them well groomed.
  • Eyes – if you have red, bloodshot, itchy eyes, get eyedrops and use them regularly. Get plenty of sleep to avoid puffiness.
  • Nose – blow your nose, don’t pick it. Always blow your nose before leaving the house and check to make sure there’s nothing left.
  • Lips – Every night put a little petroleum jelly on your lips before bed and wipe it off in the morning. You can also slather on any moisturizing lip balm.
  • Teeth – Brush twice a day. Floss at least once a day. If you have very crooked teeth, consider braces. Realize that you may not like them while they’re on, but you will like the results!
  • Face – If you have acne don’t feel bad. Everyone gets pimples sometimes, yes, even celebrities. Make sure to wash your face morning and night, use an oil free facial moisturizer, and go easy on the makeup!
  • Clothes – What items you choose to wear isn’t nearly as important as fit and colour. The colours of your clothes should look good on you as well as look good together. Don’t wear any piece of clothing that doesn’t fit you. Sizes are just numbers/letters, you’re going to look and feel much better in clothes that fit you, even if that means going up a size or two.
  • Nails – Don’t bite your nails! Get an anti-bite polish from the drugstore and keep it on all the time. Keep your nails trimmed and filed to a reasonable length. If your nails are painted touch them up in the evenings and remove the polish as soon as it gets beyond the point of touch ups.
  • Hands and feet – buy plain white cotton gloves and socks. Before you go to sleep put on plenty of lotion and then the socks and gloves. When you wake up, your skin will be super soft.
  • Makeup – Keep it natural! Do not wear foundation, it looks extremely fake on young people and often leads to more or worse acne. Just use concealer on any spots, a little bit of powder to keep the shine away, and some mascara and lipgloss. You can curl your lashes if you want to. Save eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick for special occasions.
  • Accessories – Earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets are up to you. Just be sure not to overload yourself, if you’re wearing big or dangly earrings keep all other accessories to a minimum.
  • Shoes – Again, the style is up to you, just be sure they fit!
  • Exercise – Always remember to warm up and cool down! If you don’t you’ll be so sore after your workout that you won’t be able to work out next time you’re supposed to.
  • Be kind to people. Don’t ever bully anyone or gossip about someone. Don’t yell at or make fun of people.
  • Compliment people! If someone is wearing an amazing dress or you love your friend’s new haircut, tell them!
  • The golden rule. Treat people how you want to be treated.
  • Have good manners. There are many books on manners easily available, pick up and read a few of them.
  • Do your school work or regular work. Getting good grades will make you feel good about yourself, and it’s incredibly important for your future. Get all assignments (school and work related) in on time, and in good condition.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask others for help when you need it – and don’t neglect to help others when they ask for it.

Be Beautiful when You Have a Disability

Everybody is beautiful, but if you don’t feel it and you don’t have confidence then it won’t show. Of course, you always will have inner beauty but trust me, no matter how bad or ugly you feel, you are not.

To Be Beautiful when You Have a Disability Instructions:

  • Don’t try so hard. You’re beautiful the way you are, accept that. Of course some people look better then others, but chances are you have way more inner beauty then them. Don’t put on so much makeup and don’t try to wear short skirts and tank tops because that “what everyone else is doing”
  • Be confident. The reason people aren’t confident is because they think they lack attention and sometimes they think they lack friends. You are getting all the attention you need, if you have a disability, thats never something to be ashamed of, people want to know more about it, they want to know you. You are getting all the attention you need.
  • Be yourself. Millions of people will tell you this, and its so true but its also very hard. It’s very hard to accept yourself for the way you are. Don’t be someone else, you were born this way for a reason! You have so much to accomplish and you have so much you can give, don’t bother trying to be someone else.
  • Be kind and nice. People will see your personality and think of how beautiful you are on the inside, and start seeing your beauty on the outside, too.
To Be Beautiful when You Have a Disability Tips:
  • Try to think positive and confident.
To Be Beautiful when You Have a Disability Warnings:
  • Don’t be someone else, you are beautiful the way you are.
  • Don’t change yourself.

How to Be Artsy and Unique

So you want to find a style all to yourself? Well, here are some tips on how to be unique!

Topic To Be Artsy and Unique:

  • Be Artsy and Unique

To Be Artsy and Unique Difficulty:

  • Moderately Easy

To Be Artsy and Unique You’ll Need:

To Be Artsy and Unique Instructions:

  • Find what you want to do. If it’s something all to yourself, do it! If it’s something no one has ever thought of, and you’re the one who thought of it, do it! If you want to be unique, don’t copy anyone else.
  • If you, say, wanted to be an artist who drew, (Sculpted, painted, etc.) make it yourself, not like any other artist. Fun, and vibrant! Colorful, and beautiful!
  • Make a statement. People respect people who have their own creative passion. If you love something, do it, and go for it. If someone’s mean to you, it doesn’t matter, just keep going.
  • You’ll get well known. You know, some of the greatest people are known for their, uniqueness. A famous painter is famous because she painted something different, all her own, and that’s what you need to do, if you want to be known.
  • Being unique is more then just dressing up, or talking different, it’s about making a statment. If someone likes what you do, you can feel good about yourself, almost like a role-model!
To Be Artsy and Unique Tips:
  • Don’t get down if someone tells you, you can’t do that, because you’re you, and that’s what being unique is all about. If someone thinks it’s bad, or stupid, just say “This is me, and you can’t change me”, try not to be rude about though.

Topic To Be Alone:

  • Be Alone

To Be Alone Difficulty:

  • Moderately Easy

To Be Alone You’ll Need:

  • None

To Be Alone Instructions:

  • Determine your surroundings. If it is not possible to be alone in your surroundings then leave the area and find a quiet place undisturbed by other organisms. Such places include the forest, your own room, or a quiet outdoor park.
  • Free yourself from distractions, such as electronic communication devices. (Cellphone, etc.) You may wish to keep an iPod or other music playing device with you in order to block out noise if you cannot find a quiet enough area.
  • Start your activity. Whether you have chosen to be alone in order to have time to yourself to think or to finish reading a novel, this is the perfect time to get it done. Enjoy!
To Be Alone Tips:
  • This is a good way to relax, so wear comfortable clothing and don’t try to impress anyone. There won’t be anyone to impress!
To Be Alone Warnings:
  • Be sure the area you are going to is safe. It is best to carry this strategy out in daytime.
  • If you do not feel comfortable for safety reasons without your cell phone or other communication device, bring it but leave it in your pocket and on silent or off if at all possible.
  • Don’t stay alone too long. We all need people. If there is some activity needing you to be alone for long time, it is best to inform your friends about it. You can’t disappear suddenly, emerge out of blue later and think people will throw their arms around you.

How to Be Almost Flawless (Girls)

Be Almost Flawless (Girls)

Perfection is something we all cherish. It is difficult, but amazing when you reach your goal at long last, and it makes you actually feel a lot happier knowing you’re perfect. Your goal is to be irresistible in every way possible and to appeal to the senses.

  • Be Almost Flawless (Girls)

To Be Almost Flawless (Girls) Difficulty:

  • Moderately Easy

To Be Almost Flawless (Girls) You’ll Need:

To Be Almost Flawless (Girls) Instructions:

  • Sound. You want to sound good. If you stammer, aren’t a confident speaker, are very shy, or get easy stage fright, then try and do something about it. Learn to enjoy talking and conversing with new people. Everyone likes it when someone has a clear, easy-to-understand voice.
  • Smell. B.O and sweat simply are not alluring. Face it. What is lovely is when somebody smells nice. What nice means is different for each person, but try to adapt it to your personality. Girlie/romantic – floral, e.g rose. Sporty/confident – fruity or citrus, e.g grapefuit. Sexy/alluring – heavy, musky, e.g vanilla, spice, etc. The list goes on. There is definitely a sophisticated something about choosing your scent, which people will remember you by and will hang on your woolly jumpers. Get scent from body butters, conditioners, soaps (but these aren’t so effective), deos, body sprays/splashes and tasty perfumes. Aah, that’s nice.
  • Touch. Which do you prefer: a friend touches you and you feel hard cracked crocodile skin; or, a friend touches you and their hand is as soft as a kitty? Soft hands is the kind of thing you remember about someone. So is soft hair, soft skin, and fluffy slippers. So, get your lotion (obviously it should be a good one which you trust) and regularly apply it to your hands and body. For hair, the secret to softness is moisture. Use conditioner, especially the non-harsh, hydrating types (note: Pantene is known for harsh damaging ingredients). Never use heat on her, as it deprives it of moisture, so please stow heat products away for special occasions. Wear a hat in the summer time. Wash it with cold water (this also makes it shiny and really wakes you up in the morning). Many people swear that hot olive-oil is a ticket to softness. VERY important – never, ever leave in conditioner (unless it is leave-in conditioner). It is horrible. So wash thoroughly. As for soft slippers, I saw quite a nice pair in TK Maxx, if you’re interested.
  • Looks. This is the hardest one. So it has been split into sub-categories.
    • Skin. “Look after your skin, and it will look after you”. So true, so true. Skin needs moisture, cleanliness (anti-spotness), protection (hello, suncream!). A good way to deal with this is by eating your way in. Your vitamins B,E,A,C,K will be useful here. If you can’t look after yourself, just get vitamin gummi bears (yum). Most importantly, DRINK. For your health, skin, hair, body, survival, lack of hallucinations… the list goes on! Anyway, skin care is greatly varied from person to person.
    • Hair. Can’t live with it, can’t live without it. It is so different for everyone. Some of my friends use brushes for their hair. If I actually manage to use a brush, it generally makes my hair frizzier. Do what works for you. If you plait your hair and like the results, don’t bother listening to that random website which tells you plaiting your hair results in severe loss of elasticity and is somehow linked with hairy belly buttons. Because everyone is different in this field.
    • Nails: if long, keep controlled, elegant and not too long. If short, keep in shape.

  • Dating a woman with a curvy figure feels better. When you have a cuddle with her while watching a movie, for instance, it feels better without a bone jabbing you in your side. Appreciate that a woman with curves is more cuddly and huggable.
  • Curves do not mean fat. Just because your woman has curves, does not mean that she’s let herself go. Don’t condemn a woman for having curves. It does not mean that she is overweight.
  • Know that a woman can be fit and curvy. From doing proper exercises and/or participating in sports, a woman can be toned with muscles in the right places. These muscles form the curves.
  • Watch how a curvy woman walks. Discreetly look at an attractive, curvy woman as she moves down the street or as she walks around a room. Her curves make her look more interesting than if she did not have those curves.
  • Know that a curvy woman may be more sexually exciting to you. A curvy woman has more flesh to grab onto and explore with your eyes and hands.
To Appreciate Curves on a Woman Tips:
  • Appreciate a curvy woman as a unique individual. Each woman is attractive in her own way.

A dominatrix is a female who takes the dominant role in a bondage and discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) relationship. You could say they’re always “on top” of the situation. Here’s how to look and act like a domme.

To Act Like a Dominatrix You’ll Need:

To Act Like a Dominatrix Instructions:
How to Look Like a Dominatrix

  • Wear a bodysuit. A full-bodied (often black) catsuit is a mainstay of fetish and bondage culture. There’s a difference between a dominant lifestyle and fetishism, but the skintight black bodysuit remains an iconic garment in both communities. Make sure your suit is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), leather, or rubber latex.
  • Buy a pair of thigh-high, stiletto-heeled boots. Like the catsuit, these boots represent dominatrix attire to mainstream culture. Platform boots can also be worn.
  • Wear a corset. A corset is a close-fitting undergarment (often worn as outerwear) that helps shape (and hold) your body. A bondage corset has become a staple in fetish wear. A bustier can also be worn as an alternative.
  • Other accoutrements associated with being a domina, include:
    • Fishnet stockings or garter stockings.
    • Gloves.
    • A whip or riding crop.

How to Act Like a Dominatrix

  • Be confident. How can you dominate someone if you can’t assert yourself? Focus on the fact that you are in charge.
  • Have a plan. There’s a big role-playing component with being a dominatrix. Be creative.
  • Be flexible to your client’s needs. A dominatrix must be well versed in common BDSM practices.
  • Do not engage in sexual intercourse. A dominatrix is not a prostitute.
To Act Like a Dominatrix Tips:
  • Props and toys are a big part of the dominatrix world. If you’re unsure what to purchase, visit your friendly neighborhood sex shoppe for some ideas.
To Act Like a Dominatrix Warnings:
  • Don’t rely on media stereotypes to inform your attitudes concerning female dominants.
